    This classic sitcom brought us the infamous phrase “Whatcha mean I got the ‘check spot’?” and made Nore Davis a star. Two African-American kids (Davis and Jermaine Fowler) from the mean streets of Harlem move in with a well-to-do, white club owner (DF Sweedler). Laughs abound as the kids adjust to their new lifestyle, but issues of race and family are also brought to the forefront with both humor and poignancy. Entertainment Weekly: B-
