Directed by Ian Finkel, “A Lovable Madman” incorporates Frankie’s gifts for gags and joke-telling with character pieces, props, mime and stories that run the gamut from hilarity to pathos — all performed in the grand tradition of Frankie’s longtime idols Charlie Chaplin, Red Skelton, Richard Pryor and Jonathan Winters.
