This morning news came out that comedian Patrice O’Neal passed away. He was 41.
O’Neal suffered a diabetes related stroke in October.
From Comic Strip Live! General Manager J.R. Ravitz: “The comedy business mourns the loss of another great. He’ll be missed by all.”
Patrice came by the Comic Strip in August to guest judge “The Lottery Show.” Opinionated, personal and always controversial, Patrice was one of a kind. He was an irreplaceable voice in the comedy community that will be incredibly missed.

My heart goes out to Patrice O’Neals family. I did not know him well, but I did respect him as a very savvy and professional artist. The Comic industry has lost a major talent. A truly funny, yet down do earth man who came across in person as he did on stage, a man who spoke the truth yet did so in a way that left you laughing.
