We’ve got two heapin’ helpings of podcast on our hands! This week, Jon Fisch, Dan Allen and special guest co-host Moody McCarthy sit down to interview Comic Strip favorite, the great William Stephenson!
William shares his stories from his days working around the city (in every sense of the word) and dives into everything Comic Strip, from making an informational video regarding rules of “the light,” to our famous 50 hour stand up marathon show he hosted solo, to once actually getting banned from the club!
William is a staple here at the World Famous Comic Strip Live! and has been seen on HBO’s The Chris Rock Show, Def Comedy Jam, the film Pootietang, and most recently was a featured performer on FX’s new hit sitcom Louie.

Keep listening to and supporting great New York City stand up comedy! And as always keep your bookmarks locked here at Eighty-Second & 2nd!
You’ve seen him on Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham and recently heard him on the very popular In The Tank podcast, tonight at the Comic Strip Live!, LENNY MARCUS!
A long-time club favorite, Lenny is one of the hardest working men in the New York comedy scene. A master of word economy, Lenny is known for making audiences erupt with his observations of what it means to be a skinny, spectacle-adorned man in today’s dating scene.
Be sure to come up to the Comic Strip tonight to see one of the funniest guys around, Lenny Marcus.
To find out when you can plan an evening to see Lenny, be sure to keep a watchful eye on our calender.
It’s a two-parter with guest Christian Finnegan. I waited to post them together because the new season of LOST has reminded how much I hate cliffhangers.
Christian is a staple on Comedy Central, VH1, and at the World Famous Comic Strip Live. You should check out his recent DVD, Au Contraire, and our schedule to find out the next time he’ll be on stage at the Comic Strip.

The boys are back, and the second season of In the Tank with Jon Fisch is of to a fantastic start. One of the Club’s (and my) favorite comics, Lenny Marcus, is the guest for the season premiere.
Lenny is a fixture on the New York comedy scene and a regular at the World Famous Comic Strip Live. Learn more about him as he dishes on who makes comedy look hard and tells Jon, Dan, and Shaki what advice he gave to Dave Attell.

However you listen, Enjoy!
And come back next week for Episode 2!
Tonight, the Comic Strip Live! is proud to welcome Moody McCarthy!
A talented writer as well as stand-up, McCarthy is a soft-spoken and cerebral crowd-favorite whose material manages to walk the line that separates the observational and the imaginative. His unique style has landed him a half-hour “Comedy Central Presents” special (“I Think I’m Getting Dumber”), as well as appearances on NBC’s Last Comic Standing and ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!
When not internationally touring, Moody is an avid guitar player and in the past appeared on Jon Fisch‘s popular “In The Tank” podcast. You can listen to that episode here.
To find out when you can catch Moody at the club, be sure to check out our schedule!
Happy Columbus Day!
Tonight at the World Famous Comic Strip Live!, the Strip is pleased to welcome: Jon Fisch!
Jon has been seen on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and NBC’s “Last Comic Standing”, has been invited to perform at both the prestigious Montreal and Aspen Comedy Festivals and is the host of the very popular podcast “In The Tank with Jon Fisch”, which produces new episodes weekly.
Natively from Boston, Jon’s unique blend of combining both the high-energy with the high brow has made him a crowd favorite on the New York scene for years now. With an innate attention to comedic detail shining through in his well-crafted and polished material, Jon’s show never fails to disappoint. A true pleasure to watch.
Jon will be on out 8:30 show tonight.
To see more of the line-up for this evening, as well as the rest of the month, be sure to check out our schedule.

Check back next week for the link to this upcoming episode that touches on topics like: why you never hang up on Vic Henley, when smoking can sometimes be good, and the lost art of hosting.
Earlier this week, we talked about In the Tank with Jon Fisch, the comedy podcast that takes listeners back stage and into the world of stand-up comedy. Through interviews and personal anecdotes about performing, Jon Fisch, Dan Allen, and Dan Shaki discuss the ins-and-outs of professional comedy while talking with a different comic each episode.
I’m happy to report that today, the In the Tank crew is recording its next installment, with guest comic Vic Henley right here at the World Famous Comic Strip Live!
