Everyone here at Eighty-Second & 2nd hopes that you and your loved ones had a wonderful holiday season! We know that everyone attending the 35th Annual Comic Strip Live! Christmas Party sure did! Close friend of the club (and the Sunday and Monday night host of Late Night) Jeffrey Gurian recapped the December 11th extravaganza in great detail.
Jeffrey runs a wonderful comedy blog, appropriately titled Comedy Matters. Check out his recap here.
Do you hate hearing about all the great live comedy you missed out on seeing at the Comic Strip Live! the night before?
While we very, VERY often have major comedy talents drop-in unannounced at the last minute, on some occasions we do get a slight bit of warning ahead of time. And while we here at Eighty Second & 2nd try as best we can to get that information out to you immediately, we thought it wouldn’t hurt to let you control your destiny a bit as well.
The best way to do that is by getting on the Comic Strip Live!’s mailing list! Usually sent out once every two weeks or so, the mailing list alerts our fans to special events happening that week at the club. If you were on the mailing list, here is what you would have received this last Tuesday morning:
WHAT?!?! Colin Quinn AND Artie Lange?!? In addition to our regular star-studded comedy showcase? How could you have turned that down! Answer: you couldn’t have. Don’t you wish you knew about it? If you were on our mailing list, you would have.
Don’t be left out in the dark any longer. Sign up for our E-Offers list today! Email ComicStripLive@aol.com and say you want to join our list to find out about all of our deals, special events and guest appearances that you can’t find out about anywhere else!
Tonight, the star of Dirty Work, Beer League, MadTV and The Howard Stern Show, Artie Lange will be on the panel of special comedian judges tonight on The Lottery Show!
Call (212) 861-9386 to make reservations!

Tonight at the Comic Strip Live!, following the main show it is the reality show stand up competition that is: The Lottery Show! Coming to you live from the showroom at the Comic Strip Live! six aspiring stand ups audition for a chance to join the Comic Strip’s roster by auditioning for not only our audience, but also a panel of judges. The panel generally consists of 3 or 4 Comic Strip comedians, our booker and one of the clubs legendary owners.
Here are some shots from last week’s Lottery Show!
Lottery Show host Sherrod Small stands on stage with an auditioner.
Last week’s comedian panel consisted of Vic Henley, Karen Bergreen and Brian Scott McFadden.
Club co-owner Richie Tienken and booker J.R. Ravitz enjoy the comedy.

Jordan Rock is the Lottery Show’s weekly DJ.
Sherrod Small and Laura Prangley listen to feedback from the judges after Prangley’s set.
The live audience gets a say as well, as they cheer and clap for each comic at the end of the night.
But in the end, only one comic was passed on to the Late Night roster and this last week, the winner of the Lottery Show was Matt Nedostup! Congratulations Matt.
You can watch The Lottery Show, streaming live every Tuesday at 10:30pm (EST) at www.TheLotteryShow.com
