In August, one of the most famous faces in the entertainment industry made his debut at the Comic Strip Live!, when former three-time WWE World Champion Mick Foley appeared on our stage!
Foley, friend of Comic Strip regular Judah Friedlander, went up as a previously unannounced act much to the 150+ person audience’s great surprise.

If you were one of the lucky many who had to chance to come by The World Famous Comic Strip Live! this last week, you were treated to special unannounced performances, almost every night by the star of NBC’s 30 Rock, VH1’s Best Week Ever and a downright hilarious comedian all rolled into one, in Judah Friedlander.
Like many comedians in New York city (and beyond!) Judah has for years called the Comic Strip Live home and we love welcoming our alumni home. If you come by the club, you can stare in amazement at Judah’s headshot, currently hanging on the main wall of the club (which was taken when he was just 18!).
BREAKING NEWS! Our friends over at the Comic Strip Live! schedule page have leaked us the information that Judah will be back at the club performing this Saturday night!!! Make your reservations now! This is a rare chance to get to see Judah’s on a pre-planned scheduled appearance!

Yesterday was the Comic Strip Live’s annual Christmas party! To document the even, we here at Eighty-Second and 2nd dispatched comedians Adam Cozens and Joe Machi with a digital camera and had them capture the fun at last night’s annual send-off. A lot of great comedy talent graced the Comic Strip Live this last week. A lot of our old friends came through to do sets and spend time in the lobby of the club that they all call “home”, the Comic Strip. Here is this weeks installment of Lobby Life.
A meeting of the minds occurred by our bar this last Wednesday when Ryan Reiss, Al Ducharme, Marina Franklin, Andy Hendrickson and Mike p. Burton got together.
Four of Thursday’s acts, Ted Alexandro, Judah Friedlander, J.J. Ramirez and Steve White converse about life in comedy. And baseball.
Veteran comedy writer D.F. Sweedler reflects on what makes a good comic alongside Stan Stankos, Joe Machi, Andy Hendrickson and Mike p. Burton.
A more subdued lobby allowed Judah Friedlander and Mike p. Burton to catch up over dinner with D.F. Sweedler and Matt Jenkins futhur discussed baseball.

New York City’s premier comedy club, the World Famous Comic Strip Live! enjoyed a big week this last week. Our featured comedians brought in packed crowds every night and many of our good friends came by the club to do surprise sets throughout the week.
Just proves to say, you never know WHO is going to show up at the Comic Strip!
This last Tuesday and Thursday featured unannounced performances by 30 Rock star Judah Friedlander.
Hilarious L.A.-based comedian Elon Gold surprised Thursday night comedy fans with a guest set.
Fresh off of his recent “Late Night with David Letterman” performance, club favorite Ted Alexandro delighted crowds throughout the week.
Host of Discovery Channel’s “Cash Cab” Ben Bailey did a great set on Friday night.
The immensely talented Marina Franklin brought her unique brand of comedy to our stage all week.
Gregg Rogell had two stand-out stand-up set on Friday night.
Saturday Night Live alum and Comic Strip favorite Dean Edwards headlined our 12:30 Friday night show.
Chappelle’s Show star Charlie Murphy came by our club on Wednesday and Thursday to have fun with the crowd.
During our 8:30 show last night, our good friend World Champion Judah Friedlander stopped by!
